4/29/2014 Duff McKaganMaybe you've heard of a little band called Guns N' Roses? How about Velvet Revolver. Loaded. And now the Walking Papers. And when he's not jamming the bass, he's a writer, financial planner and dad. A Rock N' Roll Hall of Famer formerly know as the King of Beers, as referenced by one Axl Rose...Ladies and Gentlemen, a living legend, Duff McKagan catching us up to speed on the life of a rock legend and some stories about that one time he played a basement party in Eugene and was stranded with Slash in Medford back in the 80s... 4/26/2014 Oderus Urungus of GWARWhen I read the news that Dave Brocky aka Oderus Urungus, the frontman of GWAR passed away, it was a shock to the system. I have every album. I've seen them live, was sprayed with blood, the works....We lost a magnificent soul, a true artist, a mad genius and a crazy pranskter getting away with murder (literally) every night on stage, and standing up to a dumb society by attacking with pure comical fury...I got to talk with "Oderus" a couple times...here is one of those times...truly one of the coolest, smartest funniest dudes in the room. RIP Dave. 4/23/2014 Jason NewstedJason Newsted replaced one of the most legendary musicians in rock history, Cliff Burton on bass in Metallica at the height of their success. He played bass in Flotsam and Jetsam, Voivod and now leads his own band, Newsted. Now that Metallica has the rights to their album, what does that mean for Jason? Will they lift his bass sound on Justice? Here's what he had to say. 4/21/2014 Henry RollinsAside from doing way more in a week than you do all month, this guy was the front man of a little band called Black Flag. |
